House Resolution 20

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MRS. CAROLYN KING BRAMLETT UPON BEING INDUCTED INTO THE MISSISSIPPI HALL OF MASTER TEACHERS.

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Carolyn King Bramlett, a gifted teacher at Oxford Elementary School, was inducted into the 2001-2002 Mississippi Hall of Master Teachers; and

     WHEREAS, in an awards ceremony held on the campus of the Mississippi University for Women (MUW), Mrs. Bramlett, along with two other North-Mississippi area teachers, was honored for her contributions to education; and

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Bramlett, a teacher since 1972, received both her bachelor of arts degree in education and her master of education degree from the University of Mississippi; and

     WHEREAS, certified as a learning styles instructor, Mrs. Bramlett was named the Oxford Elementary School Teacher of the Year and Oxford School District Teacher of the Year for 2000-2001; and

     WHEREAS, named a finalist for the 2000 Mississippi Hall of Master Teachers, Mrs. Bramlett, a 30-year veteran teacher, epitomizes the highest standards of educator professionalism; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives of the State of Mississippi to commend such outstanding Mississippians as Mrs. Bramlett, whose positive influence upon her students and whose contributions to the educational arena are exemplary:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mrs. Carolyn King Bramlett upon her induction into the Mississippi Hall of Master Teachers and extend our heartiest wishes for continued success in all her future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mrs. Carolyn King Bramlett and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
