AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PERRY COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE TO PEARL RIVER VALLEY OPPORTUNITY, INCORPORATED; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Perry County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute up to Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) during the calendar year 2002 from any available funds of the county such sums as it deems appropriate to Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Incorporated, a community action agency, to assist the agency in obtaining state or federal grants or other funding for the purpose of implementing human resource programs in the county, including a rural transportation program.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
