AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HANCOCK COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE MISSISSIPPI CONTRACT PROCUREMENT CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Hancock County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute funds in an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) during the 2002 calendar year, out of any available funds of the county, to the Mississippi Contract Procurement Center for the purpose of assisting the county and the Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission by notifying interested contractors and businesses on projects and services for which the county or Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission is advertising or promoting.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
