AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TATE COUNTY TO APPROPRIATE AND EXPEND COUNTY FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE ENHANCED UNIVERSAL EMERGENCY NUMBER SERVICE (E911); AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Tate County, in its discretion, may appropriate and expend out of any available funds, including monies in the county general fund, an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) during calendar year 2002, to defray the costs of operating the Enhanced Universal Emergency Number Service (E911) in the county.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
