AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PERRY COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO PEARL RIVER VALLEY OPPORTUNITY, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Perry County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute, up to Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), during the calendar year 2002, from any available funds of the county such sums as it deems appropriate to Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Inc., to assist the  agency in obtaining state or federal grants or other funding for the purpose of implementing human resource programs in the county, including a rural transportation program.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
