AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF DESOTO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ALLOW THE USE OF THE DESOTO COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT BUILDING IN WALLS, MISSISSIPPI, TO ESTABLISH A MEDICAL CLINIC; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of DeSoto County, Mississippi, is authorized to allow the use of the DeSoto County Health Department building in Walls, Mississippi, for two (2) years for the purpose of establishing a nonprofit medical health care clinic for persons who have no insurance.  Any person, group or entity providing services in this building shall sign a hold harmless agreement holding the county harmless from any damages or claims.  The facility shall offer primary health care with a staff and director to be hired and paid from private funds.  The county shall provide utilities for the building.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
