AN ACT TO REQUIRE GAMING ESTABLISHMENTS TO IMMEDIATELY REPORT CRIMES TO LAW ENFORCEMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSED.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Every gaming establishment licensed by the state shall immediately report any alleged criminal violation reported by a patron to the proper law enforcement authority.  The gaming establishment shall take any reasonable and necessary action to insure the safety of a patron who reports an alleged criminal violation.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2002.
