AN ACT TO GRANT PARENTS THE RIGHT TO INSPECT ANY TEST THAT HAS BEEN ADMINISTERED TO THE PARENTS' CHILD AFTER THE TEST HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ALL STUDENTS WHO ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE THAT TEST; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The parent, guardian or custodian of a child enrolled in any pubic school in the state shall have a right to inspect a test or examination that has been administered to the child after the relevant test or examination has been administered to all students in the school who are required to take the test or examination.  Upon the request of the child's parent, guardian or custodian, the teacher who administered the test or examination must make a copy of that test or examination available at the child's school for inspection by the parent, guardian or custodian.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2002.
