AN ACT TO DIRECT THE STATE FISCAL OFFICER TO TRANSFER $56,000,000.00 FROM THE WORKING CASH-STABILIZATION RESERVE FUND INTO THE BUDGET CONTINGENCY FUND, TO BE USED FOR FUNDING THE MISSISSIPPI ADEQUATE EDUCATION PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. On the effective date of this act, the State Fiscal Officer shall transfer the sum of Fifty-six Million Dollars ($56,000,000.00) from the Working Cash-Stabilization Reserve Fund created under Section 27-103-203 into the Budget Contingency Fund created under Section 27-103-301. The Legislature shall appropriate that sum from the Budget Contingency Fund for the purpose of funding the Mississippi Adequate Education Program in Grades K-12.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
