AN ACT TO DISQUALIFY JUDGES FROM ACTING AS JUDGE WHILE UNDER INDICTMENT FOR A FELONY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. A judge of any court in this state shall be disqualified from acting as a judge, without loss of salary, while there is pending an indictment or an information charging the judge in the United States with a crime punishable as a felony under a state or federal law.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
