AN ACT TO PROHIBIT DISCHARGING A FIREARM IN A SUBDIVISION, MOBILE HOME PARK, CAMPGROUND OR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PARK; TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Any person who shall discharge a firearm in a platted subdivision in any city or county, a mobile home park, a campground, or a recreational vehicle park shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six (6) months and fined not more that One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or both.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2002.
