AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

AMEND by striking the underlined language on lines 222 through 239 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

(d) Policies and procedures to provide that after having reported three (3) or more incidents of disruptive behavior by a student in the same class to the principal, or his designee, a teacher may issue an order, subject to approval of the principal, to remove such student from the specific class. Prior to issuing any such order, the teacher shall have reported to the principal, or his designee, the name of the student, the class in which his disruptive behavior occurred, and a concise, but specific, description of the behavior. The student and his parents shall be informed of any such report and its contents and provided the opportunity to meet with the teacher and the principal, or his designee, to discuss the student's behavior. The principal, or his designee, shall meet with the student, the parent, school counselor, if any, and the teacher after receiving the second report of such disruptive behavior to discuss the student's behavior and the possible consequences if such behavior does not cease. After three (3) such reports of disruptive behavior, the teacher, subject to approval of the principal, may order the student removed from the relevant class, and the student may be disciplined appropriately in accordance with the school board's student conduct regulations.
