AMENDMENT No. 1 PROPOSED TO

Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
SECTION 1. Section 73-7-63, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:
73-7-63. Sections 73-7-1 through 73-7-37 and 73-7-51 through 73-7-61, Mississippi Code of 1972, which create the State Board of Cosmetology and prescribe its duties and powers, shall stand repealed as of July 1, 2005.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2001.
Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 73-7-63, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO EXTEND THE DATE OF THE AUTOMATIC REPEALER ON THOSE STATUTES WHICH CREATE THE STATE BOARD OF COSMETOLOGY AND PRESCRIBE ITS DUTIES AND POWERS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
