AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO MAKE AN ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI INSTITUTE OF MARINE SCIENCES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE JASON PROJECT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) annually to the University of Southern Mississippi Institute of Marine Sciences for the benefit of the Jason Project.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
