AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF CORINTH, MISSISSIPPI, AND THE TOWN OF FARMINGTON, MISSISSIPPI, TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS WITH THEMSELVES AND THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, RURAL UTILITIES SERVICE FOR TERMS OF NOT MORE THAN 35 YEARS TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WASTEWATER SYSTEM FOR THE TOWN OF FARMINGTON AND THE TREATMENT OF ITS WASTEWATER BY THE CITY OF CORINTH; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Corinth, Mississippi, and the governing authorities of the Town of Farmington, Mississippi, are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to enter into contracts and agreements with themselves and the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Service, for terms of not more than thirty-five (35) years to permit the construction and financing of a wastewater sewer system for the Town of Farmington and the treatment of the Town of Farmington's wastewater by the City of Corinth.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
