AN ACT TO ABOLISH THE WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS MOTOR VEHICLE FUND; TO TRANSFER THE REMAINING UNEXPENDED MONIES INTO THE FISHERIES AND WILDLIFE FUND; TO REPEAL SECTIONS 49-6-1, 49-6-3 AND 49-6-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH DEFINE TERMS, CREATE THE WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS MOTOR VEHICLE FUND AND PROVIDE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) The Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Motor Vehicle Fund created under Section 49-6-3 is abolished.

(2) All monies remaining in the fund on June 30, 2001, shall be transferred to the Fisheries and Wildlife Fund created under Section 49-5-21 on July 1, 200l.

SECTION 2. Sections 49-6-1, 49-6-3 and 49-6-5, Mississippi Code of 1972, which define terms, create the Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Motor Vehicle Fund and provide for the implementation of a motor vehicle replacement program, are repealed.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2001.
