REPORT OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

MR. SPEAKER AND MR. PRESIDENT:

We, the undersigned conferees, have had under consideration the amendments to the following entitled BILL:

H. B. No. 1626: Appropriation; State Forestry Commission.

We, therefore, respectfully submit the following report and recommendation:

 

1. That the Senate recede from its Amendment No. 1.

2. That the House and Senate adopt the following amendment:

 

AMEND on line 10 by changing the figure "$21,598,870.00" to "$21,738,002.00"

AMEND FURTHER by striking lines 36 through 55 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

AMEND FURTHER lines 86 and 87 by deleting the language "in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00)"

AMEND FURTHER lines 89 and 90 by changing "Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00)" to "Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00)"

AMEND FURTHER by inserting a new SECTION 8 after line 145 and renumbering succeeding sections:

SECTION 8. Of the above funds, none can be expended until there is created an additional Forestry Tech I for the South Central District whose primary purpose shall be to advise on the issues of management of sixteenth section land.
