A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING BEVERLY MARTIN UPON RECEIVING THE "BILLY CREEL" EXCELLENCE IN TOURISM AWARD AND COMMENDING HER FOR HER CONTRIBUTION TO PROMOTING TOURISM ON THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST.

WHEREAS, Beverly Martin is the 1999 recipient of the "Billy Creel" Excellence in Tourism Award; and

WHEREAS, this award is recognition of Beverly Martin's promotion of tourism on the Mississippi Gulf Coast; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Martin received the Distinguished Service Award for 1999 from the Gulf Coast Hotel/Motel Association; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Martin has served as Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Gaming Association for the past six years; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Martin has been dedicated to and involved in promoting tourism for over 17 years; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Mississippi Senate to commend the contributions and accomplishments of the citizens of the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby congratulate Beverly Martin upon receiving the "Billy Creel" Excellence in Tourism Award and commend her for her contributions to promoting tourism on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Beverly Martin.
