A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING AND COMMENDING MISSISSIPPI EMPLOYMENT SECURITY COMMISSION EMPLOYEES RAYMOND AUSTIN, JR., BEN MAYNOR, AL JONES, DORIS CERANTI AND LYNN EUBANK, INDIVIDUALLY AND AS A GROUP, ON THEIR COMBINED MESC EMPLOYMENT SERVICE OF 128 YEARS, 2 MONTHS AND 18 DAYS, ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR RETIREMENT.

WHEREAS, Raymond Austin, Jr., Ben Maynor, Al Jones, Doris Ceranti and Lynn Eubank celebrated their retirement at a special reception held in their honor on Friday, April 21, 2000, at the Mississippi Employment Security Commission office in Clarksdale, Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, these five long-time employees of MESC have dedicated and devoted their lives to the Mississippi Employment Security Commission and to the State of Mississippi with their faithful and distinguished service, both as a group and individually; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Austin, Jr., began his career with MESC on November 3, 1969, and is retiring (current position--Manager of Unemployment Insurance Office, Clarksdale) with 30 years', 5 months' and 28 days' service with MESC; and

WHEREAS, Ben Maynor began his career with MESC on August 28, 1972, and is retiring (current position--Unemployment Insurance Tax Field Representative, Clarksdale) with 27 years', 8 months' and 3 days' service with MESC; and

WHEREAS, Al Jones began his career with MESC on September 10, 1975, and is retiring (current position--Manager of Employment Service Office, Clarksdale) with 24 years', 7 months' and 21 days' service with MESC; and

WHEREAS, Doris Ceranti began her career with MESC on March 5, 1976, and is retiring (current position--Employment Security Placement Supervisor, Clarksdale) with 24 years', 1 month and 26 days' service with MESC; and

WHEREAS, Lynn Eubank began her career with MESC on February 1, 1979, and is retiring (current position--Employment Security Aide III/Lead Terminal Operator) with 21 years', 3 months' and 0 days' service with MESC; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Austin, Jr., Ben Maynor, Al Jones, Doris Ceranti and Lynn Eubank (all retiring from the Clarksdale MESC office) have a remarkable combined total of 128 years, 2 months and 18 days' service with the Mississippi Employment Security Commission; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Legislature to recognize and honor the accomplishments and achievements of citizens of this state, and especially those who have devoted their lives and faithful service as employees of the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby congratulate and commend Raymond Austin, Jr., Ben Maynor, Al Jones, Doris Ceranti and Lynn Eubank on the occasion of their retirement after these many years of faithful service to the Mississippi Employment Security Commission and the State of Mississippi.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Senator Delma Furniss is hereby designated to represent this body in presenting this resolution to each retiree and wish them well in a long and happy retirement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to The Clarksdale Press Register and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
