A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MASTER SERGEANT ANTHONY AALBERTSBERG UPON HIS RETIREMENT AFTER 20 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE AND TO HIS COUNTRY.

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Anthony J. Aalbertsberg is retiring after 20 years of decorated service to the United States Air Force and to his country; and

WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Anthony J. Aalbertsberg is Instructor Supervisor, 366TRS Det6, Gulfport Naval Construction Battalion Center, Mississippi, is senior training instructor responsible for operations for Civil Engineer Structural Technician School, and manages the Air Force instructors in both the combined and unique tracks, as well as the supplemental courses; and

WHEREAS, he is a subject matter expert coordinating with the Navy host on inter-service technical training issues; and

WHEREAS, Sergeant Aalbertsberg enlisted at the Air Force Basic Training Station at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, in November 1979, and for the majority of his career, he has served in the Structural Career Field; he started out as a Masonry Specialist assigned to 2853 Civil Engineering Squadron; key jobs include tours as Prime BEEF Logistics NCO, Facility Maintenance Team leader, Instructor and First Sergeant; and

WHEREAS, his major awards and decorations include the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Force Achievement Medal; and

WHEREAS, Sergeant Aalbertsberg was born in Utercht, Holland, and raised in Detroit, Michigan, is married to the former Rita G. Hammonds and they have two children, Andrew (Andy) and Amelia (Amie); and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize the long and dedicated service of this man who has served his country and through his civic and professional activities through the Gulfport Naval Construction Battalion Center has contributed much to the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Master Sergeant Anthony Aalbertsberg upon his retirement after 20 years of service to the United States Air Force and to his country, and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to Sergeant Aalbertsberg and his family, and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
