AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF LELAND, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONVEY AND DONATE CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE CHRISTIANS UNITED ORGANIZATION, A NONPROFIT CIVIC ORGANIZATION TO BE USED AS A YOUTH AND MULTI-PURPOSE FACILITY FOR THE YOUTH AND RESIDENTS OF LELAND AND SURROUNDING AREAS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Newton County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to convey and donate to the Christians United Organization, a nonprofit civic organization, the Old National Guard Building located at 4168 Old Highway 61 South in Leland, Mississippi, to be used as a youth and multi-purpose facility for the youth and residents of Leland and surrounding areas to promote and foster the development and improvement of the community in which it is located as it relates to the civic, social, educational, cultural, moral and economic welfare thereof.

(2) The above described real property may be conveyed and donated by the Board of Supervisors of Newton County with such restrictions as such board may consider suitable and shall not require any consideration.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
