AN ACT TO REQUIRE ABSENTEE LANDOWNERS TO OBTAIN APPROVAL OF HUNTING LEASE BY OWNERS OF LAND ADJOINING THE PROPERTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Before an absentee landowner leases the hunting rights to his property, the absentee landowner shall obtain written approval of each record owner of property that is adjacent to the property of the absentee landowner.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2000.
