AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 37-9-49, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH MAKES UNLAWFUL CERTAIN DEDUCTIONS FROM THE SALARY OF CERTIFICATED SCHOOL EMPLOYEES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 37-9-49, Mississippi Code of 1972, which makes unlawful certain deduction from the salary of certificated school employees, is repealed.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2000.
