AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE ATTALA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO PAY A CERTAIN MONTHLY AMOUNT IN COMPENSATION TO A COUNTY PATROL OFFICER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Attala County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may pay, out of any available funds, an amount not to exceed Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) per month, during fiscal year 2000-2001 and every fiscal year thereafter, as compensation for a county patrol officer employed by the board of supervisors in accordance with Section 45-7-1. This amount includes any compensation paid under Section 45-7-5 to any one (1) patrol officer.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
