AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF SOUTHAVEN, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRACT OR ENTER INTO A LEASE WITH A LAND DEVELOPER FOR THE PURPOSES OF DEVELOPING, CONSTRUCTING, OPERATING AND MANAGING LAND OWNED BY THE CITY OF SOUTHAVEN FOR USE AS A MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Southaven, Mississippi, in their discretion, may enter into and contract with a land developer for the purposes of developing, constructing, operating and managing land owned by the City of Southaven for use as a municipal golf course. Such contract may be executed in the form of a lease not to exceed twenty (20) years in duration and may be subject to such terms and conditions as the parties may agree. Such contract or lease shall remain valid, binding and enforceable during its entire term by or against the parties to such contract or lease and their assignees or successors in office, according to the terms and conditions of the contract or lease.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
