House Bill 1349

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION, ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS, TO SELL AND CONVEY CERTAIN STATE-OWNED REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO SAINT PAUL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) The Department of Finance and Administration, acting on behalf of the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, upon meeting the requirements of Section 29-1-1, may sell and convey to Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church certain state-owned real property located in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, and being more particularly described as follows:

Part of the Northwest Corner of the Southwest Quarter and Part of the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter located in Section 8, Township 19N, Range 14E for a total of 14.23 acres less and except 4 acres which is already owned by Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

(2) The sale and conveyance authorized in this section may be made on such terms and conditions agreed upon by the Department of Finance and Administration and Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, to be in the best interests of both parties.

(3) Any funds received by the State of Mississippi for the sale and conveyance of the real property described in subsection (1) of this section shall be deposited into the State General Fund.

(4) The State of Mississippi shall retain all mineral rights to the real property sold and conveyed pursuant to this section.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
