AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE BOARDS OF SUPERVISORS, IN THEIR DISCRETION, TO PERMIT THE USE OF COUNTY EQUIPMENT AND COUNTY EMPLOYEES TO OPEN AND CLOSE GRAVES ON PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY FOR RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The board of supervisors of any county, in its discretion, by order duly adopted and spread upon its minutes, may use county-owned equipment and county employees to open and close graves on public or private property for residents of the county.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2000.
