AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE COMMISSION ON WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS TO ALLOW AN INDIVIDUAL TO KEEP A DEER IN CAPTIVITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks shall allow an individual to keep a deer in captivity. The commission may require a permit for such possession and may establish a reasonable fee for the permit. The commission may exercise all powers and establish any regulations necessary to regulate the possession of a deer in captivity.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2000.
