AN ACT TO DELETE A CERTAIN SECTION OF HIGHWAY IN CLAY COUNTY FROM THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM; TO REMOVE IT FROM THE JURISDICTION OF THE MISSISSIPPI TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The following highway is deleted from the state highway system, removed from the jurisdiction of the Mississippi Transportation Commission and returned to the jurisdiction of the Board of Supervisors of Clay County:

Northern District - Clay County:

Mississippi Highway 389 beginning at the Clay/Oktibbeha County line and extending northerly to Montpelier.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
