AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE WOLF RIVER AS A STATE SCENIC STREAM AND TO INCLUDE THAT PORTION IN THE STATE SCENIC STREAMS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The following shall be codified as Section 51-4-23, Mississippi Code of 1972:

51-4-23. The Wolf River in Pearl River, Hancock, Stone and Harrison Counties from Highway 26 in Pearl River County to the Bay of St. Louis in Harrison County, which was initially designated as eligible for inclusion in the scenic stream program under Section 51-4-17, is designated as a state scenic stream and is included in the State Scenic Streams Stewardship Program.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
