A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE INGOMAR HIGH SCHOOL FALCONS BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM FOR AN OUTSTANDING SEASON. 

WHEREAS, the Ingomar High School Falcons won the Myrtle Tournament, the North-Half Tournament and the Union County Tournament, and placed second in the Ingomar Tournament and the Division 2-1A Tournament; and

WHEREAS, the Falcons had an excellent season, ending with a 34-5 record; and

WHEREAS, Ingomar, after a fine showing and against stiff competition, came in at second place in the State Tournament; and

WHEREAS, the Falcons team members are a fine example of what dedicated play can mean to the game; and

WHEREAS, every member of the team is an integral part of the team's success; and

WHEREAS, players Justin Roberts, Trent Adair and Adam Kirk were named to the All-State team; and

WHEREAS, the team members have been inspired by Coach Norris Ashley with the able assistance of Assistant Coach Chris Kidd; and

WHEREAS, the Falcons have developed a superior sense of competition, sportsmanship and fair play, along with a winning and cooperative spirit; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize, commend and encourage excellence, especially when demonstrated by the youth of our state:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MISSISSIPPI SENATE, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Ingomar High School Boys Basketball Team for their championship showing and outstanding season of hoops, and for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Ingomar High School and Coach Ashley.
