Senate Resolution 19

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MRS. AMANDA PURSER FOR BEING AN OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR. 

WHEREAS, Amanda Purser teaches the third grade at Sumrall Elementary School; and

WHEREAS, Amanda Purser has taught for six years and is known for her energetic and enthusiastic teaching; and

WHEREAS, this exuberant teacher is known as the "singing teacher"; and

WHEREAS, Amanda Purser's commitment to education and children is evident by her tutoring of students in addition to her other duties; and

WHEREAS, Amanda Purser tutors children two days a week and also tutors middle and high school students every other Saturday; and

WHEREAS, Amanda Purser was recognized as an Outstanding Educator by Congressman Gene Taylor and the Lamar County Board of Supervisors; and

WHEREAS, Amanda Purser is married to Jimmy Purser and they have a daughter, Alayne; and

WHEREAS, Amanda Purser's enthusiastic and dedicated service to her students and the teaching profession has earned her the respect of her peers; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Mississippi Senate to commend the noteworthy and dedicated service of the state's citizens:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we commend Mrs. Amanda Purser for being an outstanding educator and wish her continued success in her endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to Mrs. Amanda Purser.
