AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ENTER INTO INTERLOCAL AGREEMENTS WITH OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS TO DEVELOP AND ESTABLISH A SMALL BUSINESS INCUBATOR; TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LAFAYETTE COUNTY TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR SUCH SMALL BUSINESS INCUBATOR IN SUCH AMOUNTS AS IT MAY CONSIDER APPROPRIATE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

 

SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Lafayette County, Mississippi, is hereby authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to enter into interlocal agreements with other political subdivisions to develop and establish a small business incubator.

(2) The Board of Supervisors of Lafayette County, Mississippi, is hereby authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to provide funds from any available county funds in such amounts as it considers appropriate, to any small business incubator established pursuant to an interlocal agreement entered into pursuant to subsection (1) of this section.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
