AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF HATTIESBURG TO DONATE A SUM OF MONEY TO THE HATTIESBURG EDUCATION LITERACY PROGRAM (HELP); AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, are authorized, in their discretion, to donate a sum not exceeding One Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($1,100.00), from any available funds, during the calendar year 1998 to the Hattiesburg Education Literacy Program (HELP).

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
