AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF SPECIAL FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE MISSISSIPPI PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR LICENSING BOARD, FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi Professional Counselor Licensing Board, for the purpose of defraying the expenses of said board for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1998

$ 23,414.00.

SECTION 2. This additional appropriation is made for the purpose of preventing a deficit which would otherwise occur in the Contractual Services major object of expenditure.

SECTION 3. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of Section 1, funds in the amount of Five Thousand Sixty-five Dollars ($5,065.00) are provided to pay for legal expenses incurred in fiscal year 1996 and funds in the amount of Eight Thousand Three Hundred Forty-nine Dollars ($8,349.00) are provided to pay for legal expenses incurred in fiscal year 1997.

SECTION 4. The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Mississippi Professional Counselor Licensing Board, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

SECTION 5. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
