AN ACT TO REQUIRE A DAILY JOURNAL OF THE MISSISSIPPI LEGISLATURE'S ACTIONS TO BE PREPARED BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE AND SYNDICATED TO NEWSPAPERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) For the purposes of this section, the term "syndicate" means to distribute an article for publication by way of a central agency.

(2) A daily journal of the Mississippi Legislature's actions shall be prepared by the Secretary of State.

(3) The journal shall be syndicated to newspapers throughout the State of Mississippi to be printed in the newspapers' classified section under the heading "State".

(4) The distributions shall be funded by the state government.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1998.
