AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A PORTION OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 13 IN SIMPSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "TOMMY BOURNE AND J.P. RUTLAND MEMORIAL HIGHWAY;" AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) That portion of Mississippi Highway 13 in Simpson County, beginning at the southern city limits of Mendenhall, Mississippi, and extending to a point four (4) miles south of the city limits of Mendenhall shall be known and may be designated as the "Tommy Bourne and J.P. Rutland Memorial Highway."

(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching such highway.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1998.
