AN ACT TO CREATE THE CRIME OF RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT; TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

 

SECTION 1. Any person who willfully, intentionally, and recklessly engages in conduct which creates a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person shall be guilty of reckless endangerment and, upon conviction, shall be imprisoned for not more than five (5) years or fined not more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or both.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
