AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF SPECIAL FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF BANKING AND CONSUMER FINANCE, FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Consumer Finance Fund of the State Department of Banking and Consumer Finance, for the purpose of defraying the expenses of said department for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1998 $ 127,350.00.

SECTION 2. With the funds appropriated by this act, the following positions are authorized:

AUTHORIZED POSITIONS:

Permanent: Full Time. . . . . . . . . . . 3

SECTION 3. This additional appropriation is made for the purpose of preventing a deficit which would otherwise occur in the Salaries, Wages and Fringe Benefits, and Contractual Services major objects of expenditure.

SECTION 4. The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Consumer Finance Funds of the State Department of Banking and Consumer Finance, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

SECTION 5. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
