AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LAMAR COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ANNUALLY CONTRIBUTE AN APPROPRIATE AMOUNT FROM ANY AVAILABLE COUNTY FUNDS TO ASSIST IN THE OPERATION OF THE BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS OF SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Lamar County, Mississippi, is hereby authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute, out of any available county funds, an amount not to exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) during Fiscal Year 1997-1998 to assist in the operation of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeast Mississippi.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
