AN ACT TO REQUIRE WORKERS' COMPENSATION INSURANCE CARRIERS TO FILE WITH THE COMMISSIONER OF INSURANCE A STATEMENT DISCLOSING WHETHER OR NOT SUCH CARRIER INCLUDES WAGES PAID FOR A VACATION, HOLIDAY OR SICK LEAVE IN THE DETERMINATION OF A WORKERS' COMPENSATION PREMIUM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Each insurance carrier which desires to write workers' compensation insurance in compliance with this chapter shall file with the Commissioner of Insurance on or before January 1 of each year a statement disclosing whether or not such carrier includes wages paid for a vacation, holiday or sick leave actually taken by the employee in the determination of a workers' compensation premium.

SECTION 2. Section 1 of this act shall be codified as a separate section within Chapter 3 of Title 71, Mississippi Code of 1972.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1998.
