A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING JOHNNY BOSWELL ON HIS INSTALLATION AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF THE MISSISSIPPI ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS.
WHEREAS, Johnny Boswell was installed as Chairman of the Board of the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters on Friday, July 11, 1997, during the Annual Convention of the MAB at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, a long-time member of MAB, which represents 110 radio stations and 16 television stations in the State of Mississippi, Mr. Boswell has been on the MAB Board of Directors for six years and has served as secretary/treasurer, vice chairman and chairman-elect of the board; and
WHEREAS, Johnny Boswell is the owner and general manager of radio stations WKOZ, Kosciusko, and WBKJ-FM, Kosciusko-Jackson; and
WHEREAS, during 1995, he served as the MAB Awards Chairman where he organized and oversaw the judging of over 200 radio entries from stations across Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, his insight into the broadcasting business has been of invaluable assistance to the board and member stations of the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend Johnny Boswell upon his installation as Chairman of the Board of the Mississippi Association of Broadcasters and offer our best wishes for his continued success in all future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be furnished to Johnny Boswell.
