AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF NEWTON COUNTY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SEBASTOPOL NATURAL GAS DISTRICT IF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SCOTT COUNTY IS AUTHORIZED BY SEPARATE LEGISLATION TO CREATE AND PARTICIPATE IN SUCH DISTRICT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Newton County, by resolution duly adopted and entered on its minutes, is authorized to participate in the Sebastopol Natural Gas District if the Board of Supervisors of Scott County is authorized by separate legislation to create and participate in such district, and if the district is activated in accordance with the terms of that legislation.

(2) If the Board of Supervisors of Scott County is authorized by separate legislation to create and participate in the Sebastopol Natural Gas District, then the terms of that legislation shall govern the participation of the Newton County Board of Supervisors in the district.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
