AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE COAHOMA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE THE EXTENSION OF A LEASE WITH CLARKSDALE HMA, INC., AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES, INC., FOR HEALTH CARE RELATED FACILITIES ON COUNTY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Coahoma County Board of Supervisors may extend, renew or otherwise provide for additional years of leasing by the lessee in the current lease which was entered into by Coahoma County, Mississippi, acting through the Coahoma County Board of Supervisors, with Clarksdale HMA, Inc., and Health Management Associates, Inc., and which was dated the twenty-eighth day of December 1995. The extended lease shall cover all or any part of the real property and/or the improvements on the property which are covered by the original lease for up to an additional twenty (20) years according to the terms and conditions set by the Board of Supervisors of Coahoma County.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
