AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO CONVEY CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. In consideration of One Dollar ($1.00), the Department of Finance and Administration, upon meeting the requirements of Section 29-1-1, may convey, on behalf of the State of Mississippi, certain state-owned real property located in the City of Winona, Montgomery County, Mississippi, to Montgomery County, Mississippi, the property being more particularly described as follows:

All that part of the East 1/2 of Residential Lot No. 132 West of the Illinois Central Railroad in the City of Winona, Mississippi, according to the map of the City as prepared by J. W. Mercer in 1894, which lies North of a line drawn parallel to Jones Street and 225 feet North of Jones Street; it being the intention of grantors to retain all that part of East 1/2 of the Residential Lot No. 132 which lies South of a line drawn 225 feet North of Jones Street and parallel thereto, and to convey hereby the remainder of the East 1/2 of the Residential Lot No. 132. The parcel of land herein conveyed being further described as follows:

Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Residential Lot No. 132 on the North boundary line of Jones Street, and running thence North along the East line of the Residential Lot No. 132 a distance of 225 feet to a stake, which is the beginning point, thence West parallel to Jones Street to a stake on the West line of the East 1/2 of said Residential Lot No. 132, which the stake is 225 feet North of the Southwest corner of the East 1/2 of said Residential Lot No. 132, thence North along the West line of the East 1/2 of the Residential Lot No. 132 to the North line of the East 1/2 of the Residential Lot No. 132, thence East along the North line of the East 1/2 of the Residential Lot No. 132 to a stake at the Northeast corner of the Residential Lot No. 132, thence South along the East line of the Residential Lot No. 132 to the point of beginning.

SECTION 2. The State of Mississippi shall retain all mineral rights to the state-owned real property conveyed pursuant to this act.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
