AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE USE, POSSESSION AND SALE OF ARMOR PIERCING AMMUNITION AND TO PRESCRIBE PENALTIES THEREFOR; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Any person who possesses or sells any armor piercing ammunition shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) nor more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) or shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment for six (6) months, or both.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1998.
