AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE COMMISSION ON WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH PRIVATE LANDOWNERS TO DESIGNATE CERTAIN LAND IN YALOBUSHA AND GRENADA COUNTIES AS A FOX PRESERVE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. In addition to the powers and duties now conferred upon the Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, the commission may, in its discretion, establish the land in Yalobusha County or Grenada County necessary and requisite for the construction and maintenance thereon of a fox preserve or refuge. The commission also may enter into contracts with private landowners for the purpose of designating certain portions of land in Yalobusha County and Grenada County as a fox preserve or refuge.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1998.
