AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A PORTION OF UNITED STATES INTERSTATE 20 WITHIN THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI AS THE "31ST INFANTRY, DIXIE DIVISION MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) That portion of United States Interstate 20 within the State of Mississippi beginning at the Mississippi/Alabama state line and ending with the Mississippi/Louisiana state line shall be known as the "3lst Infantry, Dixie Division Memorial Highway."

(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching such highway.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1998.
