AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 25-3-73, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH REQUIRES ALL STATE EMPLOYEES TO BE PAID ON A DELAYED BASIS TWICE PER MONTH; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 25-3-73, Mississippi Code of 1972, which requires all state and nonstate service employees to be paid on a delayed basis, twice per month, beginning on January 1, 1999, is repealed.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
