AN ACT TO PROHIBIT DOOR-TO-DOOR SOLICITATION BY PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF FOURTEEN YEARS WITHOUT THE SUPERVISION OF A PERSON AGED EIGHTEEN OR OLDER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. No person under the age of fourteen (14) years shall engage in door-to-door solicitation without the supervision of a person aged eighteen (18) years or older. Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1998.
